Where is Brandy?

Since being appointed to the County Board, Brandy Bryant has been absent for over 30 County Board and Committee meetings, according to the meeting minutes on the county website.* However, she has continued to be paid in full as our county board member.

Her absenteeism has resulted in her missing dozens of votes and failing to be present for critical opportunities to improve our community.

Brandy Bryant claims to be the voice of the people, but how can she be our voice when she barely ever showed up to make us heard? The people living in Peoria County’s 4th district deserve a representative that will work for them everyday.

Not only does Brandy have a history of absenteeism and tardiness, she has a bad track record on the votes she does cast. One of the most egregious examples of this was her vote against the distribution of Covid relief funds for small businesses. Our community is still dealing with the ramifications of Covid-19, tragically many mom-and-pop shops suffered and had to shut their doors. Many lost their livelihoods. Current County Board member, Brandy Bryant, was the only county board member to vote to withhold state pass-through money designed for small business Covid shutdown relief.*
